Hurdle Help financial assistance funds help families avoid imminent crisis brought on by acute financial stress, by conferring one-time financial grants to fulfill basic needs. Several grants have helped families to make one-time rental or utility payments during periods of underemployment; others have helped to purchase new clothing after homes were lost to fire damage. Requests are evaluated swiftly by a review committee, which ensures that all other community funding sources have been exhausted and that services are in place to prevent a recurring need.

Youth Development financial assistance funds offer youth and their families the means to engage in positive recreational and educational opportunities by sponsoring their participation in community programs such as art, dance, martial arts, tutoring, team sports, and summer camps.
